The Suprema system consists of two main speakers, two subwoofers and one electronic crossover.
The two main speaker columns have a unique lute shape, and the system's two subwoofers have an elliptical profile. Suprema materials were selected for their characteristics and ability to complement each other. Carbon fiber is used for its durability, and wood was chosen for its harmonious qualities. The design also uses durable aluminum with laminated wood for the side panels of the main columns.
Suprema speakers have a leather front panel. Sonus Faber has collaborated with luxury furniture brand Poltrona Frau. Each Suprema loudspeaker uses Poltrona Frau's Pelle Frau Impactless leather, produced using a chrome-free tanning process launched in 2022. In addition to the four-speaker Suprema system, consisting of two main speakers and two subwoofer enclosures, the system is also equipped with an external electronic crossover. unit.
Each Superma speaker features a 4/5-way speaker system with eight front speakers and two rear speakers. The tweeter and midrange driver configuration includes three new elements: an all-new Camila midrange driver with a pulp diaphragm, one new midrange driver with a machined silk dome, and a new super tweeter with a machined silk dome.
The new Camila midrange driver used in the Suprema covers the most important part of the acoustic spectrum. The driver has been designed to provide maximum resolution without losing the natural sound of Sonus Faber.
Camila's combination of midrange and tweeters are housed in a special chamber lined with recycled cork. This natural and environmentally friendly material creates acoustic volume while enhancing midrange resolution and naturalness.
The separate Suprema subwoofer system has been designed to optimize bass response regardless of where the speakers are located in relation to the main speakers. The subwoofer features dual 38cm transducers with forged carbon fiber diaphragms and a neodymium magnet motor system that delivers sound clarity down to 16Hz.
The crossover filters used in the Suprema are partially visible on the sides of the main speaker. Sonus Faber claims to have used the best combination of electro-acoustic configurations. According to Sonus Faber, through modeling, testing and listening, a perfect tonal balance was achieved with impeccable rhythm and soundstage in all three dimensions.
All Suprema phase cut and control circuits are 100% analog and are implemented using selected discrete components. The cabinet houses the power supply, encased in a durable aluminum housing, while the audio signal is protected by a varnished wood housing.
