McIntosh Company introduces the latest streaming integrated amplifier MSA5500
McIntosh is proud to announce its latest development, the MSA5500 integrated amplifier, which combines streaming capabilities and powerful sound. This unit provides impressive power: 100 watts per channel with a load of 8 ohms and 160 watts per channel with a load of 4 ohms. The MSA5500 is based on a DAC with a Quad Balanced architecture of 8 channels and a resolution of 32 bits, supporting high-resolution playback up to 32-bit/384 kHz PCM and DSD512, which guarantees exceptional clarity and detail of sound.
The amplifier is equipped with 12 inputs, including 7 digital (USB, optical and coaxial) and 5 analog, as well as an input for the Moving Magnet (MM) phono corrector and HDMI ARC for integration with TVs. The MSA5500 is compatible with various streaming platforms such as Apple AirPlay 2, Bluetooth 5.0 (with aptX HD and AAC support), Chromecast, Spotify Connect and TIDAL Connect (including TIDAL HiFi Lossless Quality), making it an ideal choice for music lovers.
