Marantz Musical Mastering technology sets new standards for digital and analog audio processing. A transport mechanism designed exclusively for audio, the SACDM-3 can play SACDs, CDs, or recordings made on CD-ROMs and DVD-ROMs. But that's not all, the player is equipped with an asynchronous USB input capable of handling formats up to 384kHz/32bit (PCM/DXD) or up to 11.2MHz (DSD). Marantz Musical Mastering Stream converts all PCM file formats to DSD using advanced filtering and proprietary processing before Marantz Musical Mastering Conversion converts the 1-bit data stream directly to analog without the need for a conventional D/A converter.
